Waste Collection Permits Under the Waste Management (Collection Permit) Regulations, 2007 and Waste Management (Collection Permit) (Amendment) Regulations 2008, those intending to carry out waste collection activities in a Local Authority area must apply for a waste collection permit. This requirement applies to individuals, companies and partnerships. On the 1st of February 2012, Offaly County Council was designated as the Nominated Authority for the processing of all new Waste Collection Permit applications and review applications received on or after that date. This single Nominated Authority will be known as the National Waste Collection Permit Office (NWCPO).
