Your busy schedule might prevent you from attending the live auction, but that's okay. You can still win the vehicle by placing a pre-bid from the lot details page. If you're the highest bidder at the time of the live auction, our Bid4U technology will do the work for you, placing bids incrementally until you win or someone out bids you.
Delivery and Transportation
Copart has 3 options when it comes to getting your vehicle:
Copart Delivery
Copart offers National delivery for a multitude of vehicles, using our sub lot and sub haul partners. Call us on (0)45 247491 to get a quote and book your delivery.
Collect your vehicle yourself
Enjoy 3 days of complimentary storage while you arrange pick-up. Contact our Castledermot Operation Center to pre-book your loading time. Flatbed trucks are recommended for safe transportation. All heavy and medium-duty lots are self-load only.
Arrange Collection with your own transporter
Have your own preferred transporter? Send your lot information to your transporter after winning a vehicle so they can schedule a collection.

Licensing Information
Individuals
Individuals must provide one form of photographic ID, showing full name, photograph and DOB, to begin bidding. We will contact you if we need further documentation to support the photographic ID.
Businesses and International Members
Businesses are required to submit one form of photographic ID, as well as one supporting document showing full name and address.

The first step to bidding and buying in Copart’s auctions is to register to be a Copart Member. Registration is completely free and only takes a few minutes. Just upload a copy of your photo ID, then once your documents and account information have been reviewed and approved you can start bidding and buying on your favourite vehicles. Please allow 2 business days for documents to be processed and your account to be made Active.
There are three primary methods of bidding in Copart auctions:
Preliminary Bidding
Once the vehicle is listed on Copart’s website, Copart Members can place preliminary bids (‘pre-bids’) on vehicles at any time up to two minutes or two units before the vehicle appears on the block in the live auction. Pre-bids will be represented during the live auction and could be the winning bid if no other bidder submits a higher bid during either the pre-bid phase or the live auction. If there is a tie between pre-bid and live bid amounts, the virtual (live) bidder prevails as the highest bidder on the item.
Live Bidding
Bidders can bid live against other Members during a virtual auction. If a Member’s bid is the highest when the circular, dynamic countdown timer stops, the Member wins the sale of the vehicle (pending sale approval from Seller).
Buy It Now
Members can bypass the virtual auction of certain vehicles labeled Buy It Now. Bids can still be placed on these vehicles, but Members can also purchase them immediately for a predetermined price listed on the vehicle’s Lot Details page.
There are several convenient payment options for you to choose from after winning your vehicle including IBAN, Company Cheque and debit/credit cards. If you prefer to pick up your vehicles in person, here are five things to remember:
- Schedule pick-up during normal business hours.
- Have ready the Member Number and lot numbers of the vehicle being picked up.
- Save time and pre-book your loading time.
- Flatbed trucks are recommended for safe transportation of your vehicles.
- Hi-Vis Vests MUST be worn when visiting Castledermot Operation Centre.
